CANSTRUCTION® is a charity competition to design and build structures made entirely from canned foods using a strict set of rules and no permanent adhesives. Five person teams comprised of architects, engineers, and contractors come together to design and build a giant structure made entirely from full cans of food. At the close of the competition all of the food is donated to local food banks where the competitions are held. This year in the Phoenix CANstruction, there were 11 teams representing 29 companies who donated over 50,000 cans values at $42,000 were donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank.
This year Coreslab Structures (ARIZ) Inc. joined the fun and was excited to be teamed up with Sundt Construction, HDR, and Meyer | Borgman | Johnson Structural Design + Engineering.
