Creighton University Athletics is proud to announce the opening of the $5 million Ruth Scott Training Center, the latest addition to the east campus athletic corridor. This 16,000 square foot facility is equipped with all the amenities necessary to serve as the new training home for both the volleyball and women’s basketball teams, including two full-sized courts, six basketball hoops, two automated volleyball nets, state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment, a hydration station and additional storage space. Logistical troubles between the teams are now a thing of the past.
The architectural precast concrete insulated wall panels used for the exterior façade were chosen for both their cost efficiency and accelerated construction schedule. Thin brick and decorative acid etch buff accents adorn the exterior, accompanied by distinct brick coursing patterns, projections and radiused panels. The interior was power troweled and site painted for a lasting finish.
Construction was completed in January 2019 and the facility was dedicated on February 4, 2019. Thanks to precast concrete, Creighton University Athletics now boasts a beautiful, functional facility that will make a lasting statement for years to come.
