Precast concrete is a form of construction where concrete pieces are manufactured in a factory, then transported to the job site and lifted into place. Coreslab Structures implemented precast concrete at the Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites at Flamingo Crossings in Orlando, Florida. This development involved the use of double–tees, columns, beams, spandrels and architectural panels to construct the hotel buildings. Precast concrete offered advantages such as shorter construction time and improved safety, as well as higher performance and energy efficiency.
The precast concrete components were also able to meet tight construction schedules and weather conditions. Coreslab Structures was able to provide a high–quality, durable and cost–effective solution to the development.
