Quality Control Manager

Coreslab Structures (Missouri) Inc. is now accepting qualified applications for Quality Control Manager at our Prestress Concrete manufacturing plant in Marshall, Missouri.

Position Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control in a prestressed concrete environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and internal procedures while leading and developing a high-performing inspection team.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Supervise all Quality Control Inspectors and support their ongoing development.
Ensure all processes and documentation comply with PCI Manual, Quality Systems Manual, State Manuals, inspection agency requirements, and customer expectations.
Foster a positive team environment focused on continuous quality improvement.
Verify that all products are inspected against shop drawings before and after production — 100% compliance required.
Provide continuous training to inspectors to enhance quality and efficiency.
Create, test and fine-tune mix designs to achieve optimal quality and cost efficiency.
Monitor accurate tagging and marking of all products.
Collaborate with Estimating to identify and resolve potential job-related issues impacting cost or quality.
Coordinate with state agencies, project managers, engineering, and patching crews to ensure timely resolution of repair items and rejection notices.
Ensure pre-pour discrepancies are documented and communicated to Production before the next day’s setup.
Conduct post-pour inspections promptly after stripping and ensure reports are submitted to Production before the next casting.
Oversee batching operations to ensure consistency and adherence to proper procedures for quality concrete production.
Participate in weekly production and staff meetings.
Lead weekly quality meetings to address current and recurring quality concerns.
Prepare and submit capital expenditure requests, including supporting justifications.
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in fast-paced or changing environments.
Proficient in reading and interpreting precast/prestress shop drawings.
Solid understanding of reinforced concrete and architectural precast concrete.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve results with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to guide and support team members.

Education / Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in prestressed concrete quality control
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:
PCI Level I, II, or III Certification
ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification
OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Certification

Additional industry-related certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements:
Stress Tolerance: The employee must possess the mental and emotional fortitude to handle high-pressure situations, tight deadlines, and unexpected challenges without it adversely affecting their performance or decision-making abilities.

Extended Working Hours: The nature of the job might occasionally require the employee to work beyond standard office hours, especially during project peaks or when meeting critical deadlines. Flexibility in adapting to extended hours or working weekends is essential.

Able to travel to company sponsored meetings and seminars.

Pay: Based on education, experience, and qualifications
8-hour day shift with some overtime when needed
Monday to Friday
